Overview

Professional UltraHD 60P camera

The Lumens VC-BC701P is a professional-level 4K box camera. VC-BC701P is remarkable for its ability to output high quality UltraHD video at 60 frames per second. Despite this level of performance, the camera is small and lightweight enough to be discreetly installed in virtually any location.

4K Quality

Its 1/2.5" 8.57MP CMOS sensor produces crystal clear pictures even in very dark conditions. Users have full control over aperture, white balance, and exposure settings to deliver the images and colors your production requires. WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) and 3D noise reduction provide superior performance in high contrast environments and where lighting is variable. For customers working in HD, check out the Lumens VC-BC601P UltraHD model.

Ideal for AV, Broadcast and Video Workflows

The VC-BC701P outputs video via its Ethernet and HDMI interfaces. This flexibility means that the camera can join IP networks, send video to recorders and encoders, and connect to video switchers and mixing desks. With this level of versatility, VC-BC701P is suitable for use in video studios, theater production, houses of worship, conference production, and live-action sports.

Triple stream video

Equipped with Lumens' triple stream technology, the VC-BC701P encodes multiple IP outputs in HEVC and H.264 formats, tailored for your network environment. Technicians can route each stream as appropriate. For example, the 4K HEVC stream can be routed to in-venue screens and recorders; the high-resolution H264 HD stream can be viewed by users via a CDN such as YouTube or Facebook. A low bandwidth version enables the team to monitor the camera, locally or remotely.

Secure Streaming

As well as supporting popular formats such as RTSP, RTMP and MPEG-TS, VC-B701P generates secure RTMPS and SRT streams. These encrypted outputs are increasingly supported by video delivery networks and decoders, because of the level of privacy and content protection they offer. The inclusion of SRT is ideal for low latency delivery at lower bitrates, giving customers an excellent user experience even over poor Internet connections.

Power and Control

In addition to its video outputs, the VC-BC701P is loaded with connectivity to make living with the camera as easy as possible. Ports include audio in and out, RS-232 in and out, and DC power in. Flexibility does not stop there, though. Camera control is via RS-232 or over IP; Camera power is via the DC adapter or PoE (Power over Ethernet).

Optical sensor size:Optical sensors are electronic detectors that convert light, or a change in light, into an electronic signal. They are used in many industrial and consumer applications e.g. lamps that turn on automatically in response to darkness. Optical sensors come in many sizes.
25.4 / 2.5 mm (1 / 2.5")
Sensor type:A sensor is a convertor than measures a physical quality (light, temperature etc.) and displays this electronically on a device.
CMOS
Camera type:There are a number of common types of digital cameras: compact cameras, bridge cameras, mirrorless interchangeable-lens cameras (MILC) and single lens reflex (SLR) cameras. Bridge cameras 'bridge the gap' between the low-end compact and high-end professional (SLR) cameras. Also MILCs populate this mid-segment by combining the larger sensors and interchangeable lenses of DSLRs with the live-preview viewing system of compact cameras.
